Confined Space Safety - 2-day course
This is an ideal course for people who work in controlled confined space environments under supervision
The course provides the basic skills to:
- Recognise a confined space
- Apply legislation and standards
- Conduct a risk assessment
- Complete an entry permit
- Carry out basic atmospheric testing
- Perform a confined space entry operation
- Carry out emergency procedures

It includes the National Training Package units:
- PUADEFOHO12B Identify Confined Space
- PUADEFOHO13B Enter Confined Space
- PUADEFOHO14B Test Confined Space Environment
Participants can build on this training to complete the Advanced Course
How long is the course? 16 hrs (2 days)
Recommended for: Stormwater construction/maintenance crews, hospital maintenance crews, manufacturing plant process/maintenance crews, inspectors, defence personnel.
Optionial Units
You can add training in First Attack Fire Fighting and Provide Basic Emergency Life Support to any of the confined space training options. These courses are based on the National Training Package unit PUADEFEO201B Respond to Fire and HLFA201A Provide Basic Emergency Life Support :
They can also be offered as a "stand alone" course for general fire safety training.
How long these courses? 4 hrs for each unit
